FAQ'S

What to do when the appliance isn’t collecting water?

If your appliance is not collecting water, make sure the dust filter is clean and that there is moisture in the air. If these conditions are met and the problem persists, you should contact an Authorized Flama Technical Assistance Center.

How can I clear the filters?

First, remove the plastic cover from the back of your dehumidifier, then carefully remove the filter. Clean the filter with a vacuum cleaner using clean water and let it dry.

How does an air dehumidifier work?

When operating, the appliance draws in moisture from the air, removing the dust particles it contains through a filter. The air is then transported through a refrigerated evaporator that operates at very low temperatures. At this point, the moisture condenses into drops of water, which are collected in a reservoir. The cool, dry (dehumidified) air is then passed through the condenser, which operates at a warm temperature to heat the air before it returns to the room. This results in warm, dry, filtered air in the home.

The appliance is automatically interrupting dehumidification.

If your appliance automatically stops dehumidifying, check whether the water tank is full or whether the room temperature is too low or too high. If the problem persists, contact an Authorised Flama Service Centre.

How often do I need to replace the filter?

The average lifespan is 6 months, but it depends on the location and the amount of indoor air pollutants. Therefore, you should stay alert and try to determine, for example, whether the warm air released by the device has any unpleasant odor.

My appliance emits hot air. Is that normal?

Yes. It is normal for the equipment to release air that is slightly warmer than the ambient temperature when it is operating. The dehumidifier is not an air conditioner and does not produce cold air.

No indication can be seen on the device. What’s happening?

Check that the device is properly connected. If it is, it may have shut off for safety reasons. In that case, clean it and make sure it is in perfect condition before turning it back on.
