Plantas dentro de casa. Sim ou não?

Houseplants. Yes or no?

Plants have taken over the interiors of homes and are an increasingly popular trend. In addition to being the perfect complement to the décor (in some cases, they are even the main focal point), their presence brings a range of other benefits.

Plants purify the air

It has been scientifically proven that plants can purify the air: in addition to converting carbon dioxide into oxygen, they eliminate indoor pollution. These properties are more evident in winter, when windows are closed for longer periods and gases accumulate more. Having plants indoors is therefore an excellent option for anyone concerned about air quality.

They inspire creativity

By making spaces more beautiful and cozy, plants can, among other things, inspire and enhance creativity. According to some experts, green and colorful leaves inspire and energize the environment and the people around them.

They help you relax

Some colors, particularly purple, can reduce the amount of adrenaline in the body. As a result, energy levels increase, as does the amount of oxygen reaching the brain—factors that contribute to greater relaxation.

They reduce allergies

In addition to purifying the air, some plants can also absorb allergenic particles found in homes. Spider plants are one example: when kept indoors, they eliminate toxins and reduce allergies. Further improve the quality of the environment with a few additional measures, such as keeping surfaces clean and airing out rugs and bed linens.

They improve concentration

Some studies have shown that people’s ability to concentrate is significantly greater in the presence of plants. If you work or study from home, surrounding yourself with plants may therefore be a good trick for staying more focused.
