Recipes Oil Fryers
FAQ'S
FAQ'S
The deep fryer overflowed. Why?
This may happen because you exceeded the maximum oil level in the fryer or because you put wet food into the oil. Before you start frying, dry the food thoroughly or remove any ice buildup from frozen food.
How often should I clean the oil from the fryer, and how should I do it?
After it has cooled completely, you should strain and/or filter the oil after each use. This will prevent it from deteriorating prematurely. Oil used for frying fish should be stored separately.
Why do foods coated in batter stick to the fryer basket?
The batter sticks to the basket mesh and gets stuck. For this reason, foods coated in batter must not be placed directly in the basket. First, submerge the basket in the oil. Wear gloves when placing foods coated in batter directly into the oil.
Why does the air fryer produce unpleasant odors?
Unpleasant odors are very likely caused by old oil. Change the oil and clean the fryer.
How often should I completely change the fryer oil?
The fryer oil should be changed at least every 10 uses. If you use sunflower oil or peanut oil, you should change it every 5 uses. This frequency may also vary depending on how you filter the oil after each use or the type of food you fry.
The food doesn’t brown or become soaked in oil.
This can happen for a few different reasons:
The oil is not at the right temperature. Make sure the oil is hot enough by testing it with a small amount of the food you intend to fry.
The basket is too full: use smaller quantities for better results.
The food has not been frying for long enough. Add a few more minutes to the frying time and lift the basket to check whether the food is crispy before removing it.
Why does the air fryer make a noise during use?
If the fryer makes a noise, this indicates that there may be water inside it. The noise is caused by the evaporation of the water. As soon as you hear these crackling sounds, change the oil. If you do not change the oil, it may start to splatter.
How should I clean my deep fryer?
To clean your deep fryer, allow it to cool completely and pour the oil into another container, taking the opportunity to filter it. Before cleaning the body of the deep fryer, remove the basket and the control unit. Do not immerse the deep fryer’s control unit in water or any other liquid.
Clean the deep fryer’s control unit with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive scouring pads or alcohol.
Clean the body of the deep fryer and the lid with a damp sponge and a little detergent, rinse with water, and dry.
To wash the basket, remove it. Wash it with hot water and a little detergent, rinse with water, and dry.
Do not put the basket in the dishwasher.
Can I make desserts with my air fryer?
Yes. The air fryer cooks all kinds of food, from vegetables to meat, fish, seafood, or fruit. As such, you can prepare desserts with the air fryer: fried foods, donuts, and fruit.
Steam is escaping around the fryer lid. Why?
If steam escapes from the lid, it may not be closed properly. Make sure the lid is securely closed.
How much oil should I put in the fryer?
The fryer has two markings inside the bowl: minimum and maximum. Use them as a guide when adding oil to the fryer. Never exceed the maximum level or add less than the minimum limit.
Can I leave oil in the fryer between uses?
Yes. Ideally, leave the oil in the fryer with the lid closed. This keeps it fresh and clean. If the fryer will not be used for a long period of time, store the oil in another container and wash the fryer.
Can I mix different oils in the fryer?
No. Never mix different oils in the fryer, as each type of oil takes a different amount of time to reach the ideal frying temperature.
