Recipes Electric Ovens
FAQ'S
FAQ'S
What should I do before using my oven for the first time?
Remove all stickers and protective coverings from both the inside and outside of the appliance. Also remove all accessories from the interior (rack, tray). Clean the oven and accessories with a damp cloth and dry them thoroughly.
Set the function selector to the “oven” position, set the thermostat to the maximum temperature, and set the time for 15 to 20 minutes. The oven will start operating. Some smoke may be released, which is normal. The smoke should disappear with use.
What should you do if parts of the oven catch fire?
If any part of the appliance starts to burn, do not try to extinguish the fire with water. Smother the flames with a damp cloth, covering the entire appliance. Disconnect the appliance from the power supply and do not open the door.
How should I maintain and clean the oven?
Before carrying out maintenance and cleaning the oven, disconnect the appliance from the power supply and allow it to cool. To clean the outside of the oven, simply wipe it with a damp sponge or cloth.
Clean the door, enamelled and lacquered surfaces, and translucent parts with a damp sponge and a little liquid dishwashing detergent.
Do not use harsh cleaning products (especially sodium-based paint strippers) or abrasive scouring pads.
The oven doesn’t heat up. Why?
If the oven does not heat up, there are several possible causes.
The oven temperature and/or cooking mode have not been selected. Set the cooking mode and temperature.
Power failure. Check the electrical panel and replace any blown fuses. Check the electrical panel and confirm whether the circuit breaker or breakers have tripped. If the problem persists, contact technical support to resolve the blown-fuse issue.
Why doesn’t the oven light work during use?
If the oven’s interior light does not work during use, the bulb may have burned out. Contact an Authorized Flama Technical Assistance Center to have it replaced.
Some bits of food are stuck to the inside of the oven. How can I clean it?
To clean food that has stuck, use a soft, non-abrasive metal scouring pad. Do not apply excessive force when using the components.
All accessories can be washed with water and a little dishwashing detergent or in the dishwasher.
What type of dishware can I use in the oven?
To roast meat and chicken, use baking dishes with high sides to reduce grease splashes on the oven walls. For pastries, use non-stick pans to make it easier to remove the cakes from the pans.
How do I use the “grill” function?
To grill and brown your dishes, preheat the oven and place the dish as close as possible to the grill. Then simply set the function selector to the "grill" position and set the required cooking time using the timer.
Is it safe to put paper, cardboard, or plastic inside my oven?
No. Under no circumstances should you place any materials that could melt or catch fire inside the oven.
Why didn't the tart crust bake properly?
Make sure you have followed the recommended baking time and preferably use a dark-colored, adjustable-height metal tart base. Avoid clay, terracotta, porcelain, or glass tart bases.
Also check that you have selected the correct rack position. Do not use aluminum foil.
