FAQ'S

FAQ'S

The iron’s soleplate is leaving yellow stains on clothes.

There are several possible causes: you are not using the correct type of water; you used a starch-based product on the clothing; clothing fibers became trapped in the iron’s holes and charred; the clothing was not rinsed properly and still contains detergent.

What does the autoclean function do? How does it work?

The automatic cleaning function cleans the inside of the base, removing impurities. It is recommended to use this function periodically.

What can I do to prevent scratching the soleplate of my iron?

To avoid damaging the iron’s soleplate, follow these recommendations: always place the iron on its stand or base (depending on the model); avoid ironing over abrasive elements (buttons, zippers, etc.); never clean the soleplate with abrasive or metal materials.

Can I put away the iron right after ironing?

No, let the iron cool down before storing it and follow these recommendations: empty any remaining water from the tank, turn the thermostat back to the minimum setting, switch off the steam control, and store it on the base or place it on the base (depending on the model).

What is the correct temperature for ironing?

It is essential to select the correct temperature for ironing. The iron has a built-in thermostat that controls the temperature very precisely across the entire soleplate. The thermostat features internationally recognized markings in the form of dots, corresponding to three temperatures suitable for ironing. Make sure you are using the correct temperature for the garment you are ironing.

What can be done to prevent shine on fabrics?

The sheen appears on some fabrics, especially dark-colored fabrics. We recommend ironing dark-colored clothing inside out and at the correct temperature. If you are ironing blended fabrics, set the temperature for the most delicate fiber. Important: the iron takes longer to cool down than to heat up. We recommend starting with fabrics that should be ironed at a low temperature.

How can I prevent water droplets from getting on my clothes?

Do not use the steam button continuously. Wait a few seconds between each use. The temperature control must be set to the steam zone. Use the steam function only when the iron is hot (the light should be off).

What is the vertical steam function for? How do I use it?

This function allows you to iron garments in place or while hanging on hangers. To do this, set the iron’s temperature dial to the maximum position. Leave the garment on a hanger and gently hold the fabric with one hand. Press the steam button intermittently and move the iron from top to bottom. Never use the vertical steam function on a garment being worn.

What to do when the iron hasn’t been used for some time?

If the iron has not been used for a long period (for example, several weeks), you should turn it on over the sink for a few minutes to remove residues that could stain your clothes.

Is it possible to fill the tank with water while the iron is on?

No. Always unplug the iron before filling the tank.

What water should be used in steam irons?

The appliance is designed to operate with tap water. If the water hardness levels are very high, mix 50% tap water with 50% distilled water. Do not use rainwater, water with additives, or demineralized or distilled water. These contain organic residues and minerals that accumulate under the influence of heat and cause splashing, brownish stains, or premature wear of the appliance.
