FAQ'S

Where should I use my equipment?

Place the toaster on a countertop with sufficient space around it, away from flammable substances. Never leave it operating unattended.

What type of bread can I toast?

Almost any type of bread available on the market can be toasted. However, note that stale bread toasts more quickly than fresh bread, while frozen bread toasts more slowly. Some types of bread (for example, bread with dried fruit) may burn more easily, so you should keep an eye on them.

What’s the best way to toast bread that isn’t fresh?

To toast bread that is not fresh in a toaster, follow these tips for a crispy, tasty result:

1. Adjust the power correctly
Drier or harder bread toasts faster, so use a medium-low browning level to prevent it from burning.
If the bread still has some moisture, you can increase the power slightly.

2. Cut thinner slices
Bread that is already dry may take longer to toast if it is too thick. Slice it more thinly to ensure even toasting.

3. Turn the bread halfway through
If the toaster does not toast both sides evenly, turn the bread halfway through toasting for a more balanced result.

4. Use the reheating function
Some FLAMA toasters include a reheating function, which is ideal for warming harder bread without burning it.

The operating lever does not latch.

The lever only locks when the toaster is plugged in. If the problem persists, unplug the toaster, turn it upside down over the sink, and shake it gently to remove pieces of bread or crumbs that may be blocking the mechanism. If the problem still persists, contact an authorized FLAMA Technical Assistance Center.

How do I maintain and clean the equipment?

Before cleaning, performing maintenance, or storing the toaster, unplug it and allow it to cool completely. To clean the outside of the toaster and the power cord, use a soft cloth or a slightly damp sponge. To clean the crumb tray, remove it and wipe it with a damp cloth. Do not put it in the dishwasher. Do not use harsh detergents, metal utensils, or abrasive scouring pads.

What is the defrost function used for?

The defrost button lets you defrost the bread, automatically adding extra time to toast it.

What to do if bread gets stuck in the toaster?

Turn off the appliance, unplug it, and let it cool down. Once the toaster has cooled completely, you can remove the slice of bread without risking burns. Never leave the toaster unattended while it is operating.

What is the reheating function used for?

The reheating function reduces the time needed to toast the bread, allowing a cold slice of toast to be reheated without burning it.

What is the extra lift function used for?

This function allows you to slightly raise the bread support so that you can remove it without getting burned.
